EV safety certification

Level 1 certification
For automotive technicians working on or near high voltage EVs. Covers major components, electrical hazards, and the limits of Level 1 work. The current course is four hours and includes a written evaluation.
Level 2 certification
For technicians, engineers, and safety personnel who need to shut down a high voltage EV, establish an electrically safe working condition, and recommission the vehicle. The current course is 20 hours with written and performance evaluations.
Level 3 certification
For personnel working near high voltage battery systems, including damaged EV systems and tasks inside a battery enclosure. Covers risk assessment, safe work practices, and PPE. The current course is 16 hours with written and performance evaluations.
