HIGH VOLTAGE EV SAFETY
Build safer EV work practices.
Training, certification, and safety program support for teams working with high voltage electric vehicles and lithium-ion batteries.
EV safety certification
Choose a course level based on the work your team performs. We can discuss how the training applies to your vehicle platform and workforce.
Level 1 certification
For automotive technicians working on or near high voltage EVs. Covers major components, electrical hazards, and the limits of Level 1 work. The current course is four hours and includes a written evaluation.
Level 2 certification
For technicians, engineers, and safety personnel who need to shut down a high voltage EV, establish an electrically safe working condition, and recommission the vehicle. The current course is 20 hours with written and performance evaluations.
Level 3 certification
For personnel working near high voltage battery systems, including damaged EV systems and tasks inside a battery enclosure. Covers risk assessment, safe work practices, and PPE. The current course is 16 hours with written and performance evaluations.
EV markets and platforms
High voltage hazards extend beyond passenger vehicles. Tell us which vehicles, batteries, and tasks your team works with so we can discuss the right training scope.
Personal vehicles
High voltage service, repair, engineering, and safety roles around passenger EVs.
Buses and transit fleets
Training discussions for maintenance teams supporting electric buses and fleet operations.
Industrial and off-road vehicles
Scope instruction around the equipment, tasks, and hazards of industrial and off-road platforms.
Military and specialty vehicles
Plan vehicle-specific safety instruction with the organization and its authorized work practices.
Lithium-ion battery handling
A four-hour introduction to battery operation, applications, hazards, safe handling, and PPE requirements.
